This home which was built in 1947 has undergone a huge renovation. My clients decided to take on the task of completely changing the floorplan which included doorways, walls and re-locating a staircase. This new layout allowed us to design a functional kitchen which now includes a large island with seating for 4. We took the opportunity to extend the cabinetry down the widened hallway to get maximum storage. To enhance the integrity of the home my clients selected a classic shaker style door in Artistic White and a Peppercorn Blue paint for the island. The details such as the barn board over the island were enhanced by matching up the floating shelves to bring the wood colour onto the kitchen walls. The contrasting island is wrapped with Calcutta Nuvo quartz including waterfalls edges. Another detail we decided on was to use wire mesh in front of the radiator so there was still storage as well as functionality.

I was absolutely thrilled to be part of the renovation and couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
