About This Project

This kitchen is proof that when you meet a client that isn’t afraid of colour – great things can happen! When first meeting with the client – they had already updated other spaces of their home while maintaining the mid-century style of it – infusing colour and character into the space. The kitchen was closed off, bland and dated so the couple struggled with finding a design that would stay true to the mid-century roots of the house while making it work for modern living.

Removing the wall that separated the kitchen from the living room allowed us to create a space great for cooking and entertaining. The Caldwell Green slab cabinets paired with terrazzo-style quartz countertops were a perfect fit for the style of the home. Minimizing upper cabinetry helped to keep the space feeling bright and open while transitioning into the living area.

The new space is fresh, functional and fun.
