About This Project

This Hamilton Kitchen received quite the size upgrade by simply extending the new cabinetry into the traditional Eat-In Kitchen space of the original home. The added storage space alone is a welcome bonus but being able to seat the whole family at the island and the added functionality of the beverage area, defined by countertop appliance garage cabinets, is a game changer for this busy family. The small detail of the 2-Step Shaker door style lends a big impact to the simplicity of the white perimeter cabinetry, while the extensive working island in a gorgeous coastal colour adds an element of fun to the transitional design. In contrast to the cool hues, the dark wood of the range hood valence and the floating shelves invites the opportunity to introduce darker elements into the space in the form of cabinet hardware, island stools, and light fixtures, ultimately bringing the entire space together. Whether it’s a quick bite or a sit-down dinner, this kitchen meets all the requirements to be the heart of the home!
