What started out as three separate closed off spaces has now been transformed into an open concept main floor that’s great for entertaining and day-to-day living. The challenge of this space was that it was long and narrow. I created separation between the kitchen area and bar area by grouping the SubZero refrigeration columns between them. Instead of one long island – opting for two islands was a great way to separate the prep island and the eat-in island while leaving space to walk between them to keep the flow open in the kitchen. Chantilly Lace and Pavillion Grey cabinets are bright, calming and pairing the two allowed us to create continuity into the dining room hutch area. Flush built-in SubZero and Wolf appliances make this space a chef’s dream and help to keep the perimeter cabinetry sleek. The new space boasts plenty of storage and counterspace and has completely transformed the way the clients live.
